Jay Lollar, O.D.

Optometrist

Dr. Jay Lollar is owner and co-founder of allenEye.com. Optometry has been his passion since he first realized in high school it would become a career for him.  Dr. Lollar truly loves serving his patient’s needs in all areas of vision and healthcare of the eyes.  He specializes in “Hard to Fit Contact Lenses” and General Eye Care for all ages.
 

Dr. Lollar grew up in the Oklahoma panhandle attending Turpin High School and then received his Bachelor of Sciences in Medical Biology at the Oklahoma Christian University in Edmond, Oklahoma.  He is a life-long fan of all things OU Sooners.
 

From Oklahoma, he moved on to the University of Houston, College of Optometry where he received his Doctor of Optometry degree. After that, he moved to Dallas for clinical rotations and decided to stay in the area. Dallas is also where he met his wife Tara. Five years ago, they moved to Allen where they are active members of the community.  Dr. Lollar and Tara have two outgoing boys, Jackson and Grayson.

Dr. Lollar is a member of the American Optometric Association and the Texas Optometric Association. Dr. Lollar also has had speaking and educational roles with various companies as he constantly strives to expand his knowledge and the knowledge of others.
