Richelle Bean, O.D.

Optometrist

Dr. Richelle Bean was born in Kansas but came to Texas as soon as possible, moving first to the panhandle in Amarillo, Texas and then moving to Carrollton, Texas where she graduated from Hebron High School.

She then attended the University of Arkansas in Fayetteville and graduated Cum Laude with a bachelors in biology and minor in psychology.

Dr. Bean obtained her optometry degree as a member of the Beta Sigma Kappa Optometric Honors Society at the University of Houston College of Optometry. She completed her first internship in Houston, Texas, where she specialized in pediatric optometry care and specialty contact lens fitting. She then felt the need to move back home to DFW and completed her second internship emphasizing on the management of ocular disease in Dallas, Texas. She is a certified Therapeutic Optometrist and Optometric Glaucoma Specialist.

While Dr. Bean was in optometry school she met her husband, Phil, at a Jimmy Buffett concert and they now have two beautiful boys, Everett and Ashton.

Dr. Bean is an active member of the American Optometric Association (AOA) and the Texas Optometric Association (TOA).
